St. Petersburg is indeed one of the world's most beautiful cities, St. Petersburg has all the ingredients for an unforgettable travel experience: high art, lavish architecture, wild nightlife, an extraordinary history and rich cultural traditions that have inspired and nurtured some of the modern world's greatest literature, music, and visual art.
A great thank you to travel buddies Mike & Dennis for this trip before we head back to our hometown.
We managed to get a hostel around Nevsky Avenue, one of the most strategic and happening prospect in St. Petersburg, perfect for those who love sauntering and ambling along streets for typical sight seeing purposes.
Great building sculptures showing that St. Petersburg is one of the most western city in Russia. Look at how the administration office looks like!
Summer was amazing there, not as tormenting as summer back in Volgograd but spring. Reminded me a lot of Malaysian weather.
There’s an entire 4 storey stall ZARA building 10 minutes away from the place I stayed with more than 50% sales that drove everyone mad, I ended up getting a cardigan for mum.
Or if you’re feeling rich, effing rich I mean… you can always go for Louis Vuitton and get yourself a purse costing more than a Kancil.
The oldest book store build in 1919, loads of ancient bibles selling at staggering prices. Too bad I wasn’t allowed to take any pictures of those ancient artifacts.
Now this is what I call inspiring music, acoustic and naked to the ears.
Or maybe a little rock and roll
Here’s a guy painting a picture of a cathedral. You can easily spot these amazingly talented people around the city, just as easy as spotting Ah Bengs and Ah Liens scattered in Kuching.
Art square located near this prospect where all artists gather together to draw portraits of people, selling their artworks. It was overwhelmingly inspiring!
You can easily spot any fancy car for example this Cooper…
Or a limousine along the streets, Mercedes Benz used as taxis, Ferraris and MBWs are considered stereotypical and even a Lamborghini which I failed to take.
Even the beggars here are smarter, abusing animals to beg for them so that everyone will fall for their innocent puppy eyes like me who gave 10 rubles to it.
A boat cruise would be a relaxing thing to do as well, as it takes you along the city. Even the baby wants it so badly like I do!
Here’s a picture of Dennis & I by the river
Instead of Ah Bengs and Ah Liens, you get to see ghetto dudes with braided hair.
Tiny fountain with all the campers camping near a park I passed by every single day
The typical red phone booth picture that everyone seems to take when traveling across Europe can be found right in front of my hostel. The only unusual thing is, it’s pasted with prostitute promotion images inside. Oh wells.. More blog posts on my trip in the future.
Great pictures! Glad that you're enjoying your hols brat!
ReplyDeleteI like the usage of ah beng and ah lian. I like Zara too, but definitely can't afford LV. Perhaps when I starve for one month then that might be possible. LOL
ReplyDeleteWould be great if ah beng, ah lian and also ah hueh could do something like them
ReplyDelete- Alex
