CNY & Today

IMG_0500I heard the boisterous song from ‘The Green Brilliant – Ash Like Snow’ (my ring tone) abruptly splitting my ear drums apart as I received a phone call from Wei Xin informing me that she’s coming over for Chinese New Year visiting with the whole gang. Speaking of CNY, I have to be honest that my anticipation towards this festive season decrease gradually, unwittingly. Is it due to the fact that I’m biologically aging, indirectly jeopardizing my enthusiasm and exhilaration that I owned a long time ago?

My cousins Irene and Ivy came visiting ravenously early today, bringing along rants and gripes about weather in Kuching that has been raining cats and dogs for the past few days! I sense Ivy moving into my room once more if there place is flooded. Mother Nature is suffering from ‘disproportion’ due to human’s overzealous attempts to globalize and modernize the world. At the end of the day, us humans will be the ne who suffer! I shall speak no more.

Allan called up and brought me out for a twirl in his ‘Kancil’. Just when I thought my afternoon was about to be brimming of boredom and monotony since my parents are out visiting their colleagues, Yew Peng appeared from thin air outside my room! Sometimes things just happened surprisingly, especially when I met Mr. Victor (my primary school English teacher) at Yan Mei’s place plus an unexpected visit from my former primary school headmaster! EnigmaticLayout 1 (Page 1)I downloaded ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’ whom according to Jess, supposed to be humorous and nice to watch. The truth is, it is appallingly a total turnover (exactly like what I labeled on the poster above). How can a story of a 15 year old adolescent who is often misunderstood by her ancient parents, but buoyed up by the love of a cat and her struggle with her best friends through life seeking two main desires: To get a gorgeous sex-god boyfriend and to throw the greatest 15th birthday party be humorous and nice?? I have only one word for it – SHYT!

Happy "Niu" Year

My first day of Chinese New Year was filled with boisterous, ear splitting noises fro fire crackers, CNY music that dad played most of the time, and the crowd of friends and cousins who came visiting. Once again, I have plenty of friends who appears to be 'drivers' who drive me around and go visiting - for once I'm a parasite (ahem, ahem..) Playing Big 2, 'Tekken' watching movies and drinking... What a blast! I just remembered that it was Kee Kai's birthday today (27th Jan).
The usual greeting "Gong Xi Fa Cai" to my grandparents who took care of me since I was 3 years old. Wish them both in the pink of health.
"Ang pao" that I desired the most! Thanks to all who gave me these! Some calligraphy written by my granpa in front of my house

Chinese New Year Eve

My 86 year old grandfather's calligraphy, simply magnificent as it stood with pride on the naked white wall to enhance the prosperity during such a festive season.

Similarly to the past years, I had a Chinese New Year Eve family reunion dinner with all my cousins. I haven't met them for quite sometime and I surely miss them a lot. I'm having them to witness fire cracker display around midnight. The sky shall ignite once more and I shall be dazzled by the wonderful colours of fire work display! It's also inevitable for me to take part in it since Eddie's dad bought heaps of them.

Thanks for all who send me infinite amounts of CNY text wishes! *My phone was flooded with zillions of CNY greeting text messages* Tomorrow will be even greater, visiting with friends!

Inkheart & Underworld 3: Rise Of The Lycans

I head to the movies with Vainny yesterday, thanks for buying me tickets Vainny! (another advantage for having cousins working part time during summer breaks..tee-hee! ) Inkheart is the first episode in this trilogy, great movie! Overall, Underworld is the best! As in B-E-S-T, with all its gory and gruesome effects! I realised that approaching midnight is the peak hour for movies since I bumped into a few acquaintances! Met Shao Jie and the gang and Wendy with her family with some of Vainny's friend as well, finally Chong at some bus stop. *?????* I'm planning to watch Dragonball next!!!

In addition, Star is still infested by Ah Bengs and Ah Liens collaborating with the punk and emo wannabes... Sigh! Malaysia truly is a 'multiracial' country.

Potatoes and A Visit

I suddenly realised that my whole refrigerator is out of chicken and pork or whatsoever edible for lunch. It's an appalling news I know, if I was thrown in a jungle or any reality show akin to 'Survivor' I am cognizant that survivor would be an infinite displacement from my grabs. Thus, I prepared some lime juice, salt, paper, garlic and olive oil to be marinated with some potatoes and dumped them all in the microwave oven. Noticed how technology plays a vital role in our mundane modern life! The end product, the potatoes appeared to be 'slightly' over-tanned... but it's still sumptuous with some mash potatoes in mayonnaise and cheese sauce. I call it a satisfying success.
Grandpa came back finally with some chicken and once again... I dumped chicken and potatoes with some seasonings and transformed them into a basic potato chicken soup. This corroborate and justify my stand as a lazy cooker.

Cousin Jeffrey and Jenny with her husband (Yan Han) came visit today! I just noticed that Yan Han bought himself an iphone.. My jealousy and covetousness was building up gradually as I faced something that I could only possess in my sweet memorable dreams. Jeffrey brought us out once again to collect fire crackers, talking about illegal business! My gathering with friends at Ling Ying's place was canceled last minute due to several inevitable reasons...sigh. Next time, I'm going to obliged Wei Qi by whatsoever dreaded means to tag along with our outings. *She's like an ancient oak tree rooted at home, isolating herself from the world*

P.S: Cousins Irene and Ivy coming tomorrow and an outing with Vainny to the movies!

Things... Complicated

Everything can be utterly complicated at times,
it depends on how we see them through our naked eye.

Lord, when harder things shall rise and gather, and overshadow me, I shall have comfort in Thy strengthenings. (George Macdonald 1824-1903)

Random Tuesday Post

It's another typical Tuesday. I watched Igor last night and woke up reluctantly with a list of chores graphically imprinted in my head. I know, my friends must have cynically pointed to where I obtained such astonishing self dedication and hard work to overcome the inevitable uphill struggle of doing tormenting errands. It's a miracle I know. I vacuumed part of the house, leaving my cluttered-messed room behind once more. My life as a procrastinator never abandoned this stubborn soul I owned.

I had to force Ozymandias into the bathroom, he's beginning be appallingly malodorous

Mum came back from school with a headache and there I was, temporarily abandoned the kitchen and began searching for paracetamols in the fridge. Luckily the chicken did not burned up or else I'll be serving charcoal chicken instead. I had driving lessons with my instructor that afternoon, I shall speak no further on that.

I took over dad's job and mastered the 'pressure pump'.

Dirt, fungus with endless shower throughout the year really make a prefect collaboration of permanent stain on my walking path.

Lend grandma a helping hand in preparing Chinese New Year delicacies.Still anticipating for this weekend's family gathering.

Side note : I'm ravenously joyful for successfully downloading Hayden Panettiere's and Kelly Clarkson's lastest single.

Outing Last Friday

I went outing with a whole bunch of friends, Bernard, Nicole, Alice, Mei Yun, Fung Kee and Wan Thin last Friday. We bumped into Kee Sing and Mr. Nojip (my former history teacher), amazingly Kee Sing's dad just got him his personal Kenari - Rich. I'm forced to wake up extremely early since Nicole said she'l be picking me up approximately 9.30 AM which turned out to be all bogus after she arrived after Bernard around 10. My tremendous approach to wake up early turned out to be a waste despite my worthless sacrifiction of putting on eye bags and panda eyes. The best part was... I got to choose between 2 drivers (Nicole or Bernard) - FREE LOADING. Pity Kelvin and Amanda are both working, or else this outing would be a blast. Mr. Nojip was ravenously generous and buy his lunch at KFC, since it was the nearest location to have a natter.

Nicole, my driver for that day and Bernard my most competitive partner in Additional Maths

From left: Mr. Nojip, Alice, Mei Yun and Fung Kee We used to terminate each other in Add Maths.

Tuesday and A Tagged by Kay

I felt extremely exhausted today, biologically peculiar since I never experienced such tiredness for a long time. It's akin to running a 1500m run at the school's field. I assumed that maybe it's because of the intense energy usage for laughing and babbling crap at Ling Ying's place last night. I actually spent approximately 4 hours 'meeting' at her place, then again it's the most effective and easiest method to alleviate boredom from aggravating. Dad brought me out to ask for vacancies at some tuition center, now I'm desperately hoping for a good reply. Another amazing thing happened today was, I only received one text message for the whole day (from Azureen to download some Japanese song). Miraculously I'm unbugged for the day. Vainny called up and asked the lamest and dumbest question that labelled her as an imbecile.

Me: "Which type you want? 14" or 12" for your laptop?"
Vainny: "Which one is bigger?"

*SWEAT* Her brain must be partially patalysed during her 3 month summer holiday from university. In addition, I must publicize that Vainny owes me a drink at Starbucks since she's working now (don't be such cheapskate). Mum came back with a file for me to be translated from Malay to English, which I doubt that I'll get paid for it. Thanks to a human-like-machine translator (Kay) I've completed it within an hour. Timothy's getting his 5800 Express Music tonight, an end to his non-stop repeating broadcast about him and his phone. On a side note , Alex seemed to "free" in Australia and wants to think of another name other than "BRAT" for me. *SWEAT" The rest of my night is mainly portrayed through this screen shot.

Finally my MSN is modernized

1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18 line 4.
Author Gerald V. Bradley noted that Everson "effectively opened the modern era of church/state jurisprudence." (Persecution by David Limbaugh)

2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can.
TV remote is an inch away from me, my phone less than me metre away, and a bowl of noodles under my nose. I don't find any logic reason for me to stretch

3. What is the last thing you watched on TV
Forensic Heroes II

4. Without looking guess what time it is
12.12 AM (Approximate guess to get a nice number)

5. Now look at the clock, what is the actual time
12.15 AM (3 seconds difference)

6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
Conversation from some TV programme

7. When did you last step out? What were you doing?
Last night. Sudden "meeting" at Ling Ying's place to alleviate boredom and pour crap until 11 something at night

8. Before you started this survey, what did you looked at?
Kay's blog

9. What are you wearing?
To save time thinking of adjectives... I would say clothes

10. Did you dreamed last night?
I dreamed about Vicky having mud pie, Alex having maggot spaghetti and Chong licking cow poop cake

11. When did you last laugh?
Last night at Ling Ying's place. We shook the earth

12. What is on the walls of the room you're in?
Glow in dark stickers I had since don't know when, and some short prayers

13. See anything weird lately?
Vicky blaming people for not asking her for outings and yet complained that she's busy sleeping and rotting at home whenever I asked her to

14. What do you think of this quiz?
Alternative way to ease my boredom, cranky-free antidote for me

15. What is the last film you saw?
The Spirit

16. If you become a millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
Mercedes SLK
Mac Book Pro
HTC Touch HD
Ipod Touch

17. Tell me something about you that I don't know
I ______ (see, you don't know)

18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics. What would you do?
I want JUSTICE in EVERY SINGLE INCH OF THE WORLD

19. Do you like to dance?
Yes and No

20. George Bush
Shoe issue? I shall speak no further

21. Imagine your first child was a girl, what would you call her?
First I must imagine myself having a girl friend, then a wife first...Too bad my imagination is halted there

22. Imagine your first child was a boy, what would you call him?
A repetition of question no. 21 (please refer)

23. Would you ever consider living abroad?
Always... UK maybe?

24. What do you want God to say to you when you reached the pearly gates?
"You're in Heaven"

25. 4 people who must do this meme in their journal
  • Rachel (since your blog is dead)
  • Zan Xiang (for not giving me your pictures in Singapore)
  • Vainny (a reminder that you owe me a drink at Starbucks)
  • Leting (for luck in your Chemistry)

A Short Thank You

The future is in God's Hands, not yours; God will rule it according to your need. But if you seek to forecast it in your own wisdom, you will gain nothing but anxiety and anticipation of inevitable trouble... Sometimes what seems evil becomes good if we leave it to God, and do not forestall Him in our impatience.

Thank you God for helping me. I earned a brother and a friend back.

Some News

I woke up at 11 after sleeping at 3 last night. All the Hong Kong soap operas seemed to hypnotise me and I ended up with eye balls attached to the television screen. I called up Jemuel to wish him Happy Birthday and promised that I’ll get him a meal from Starbucks or Secret Recipe this Saturday since I have no idea what present would be perfect for him. Happy Birthday to Arshad as well.

I did some doodling in front of a television programme – Rachael Ray. Didn’t turn out that well since my fingers were only free during commercial breaks, anyways I better practise more on my poster colour before my art skills fades out with time. Who knows within these few months I could earn some money from my paintings sold on eBay, talking about easy money. Called Ling Ying to get some books and DVDs from her – she’s my main source of Hog Kong soap operas. Then again, this is called freeloading. The cheapest and most convenient way to entertain myself in front of the television.

Azureen send me a text message that says:
Note: I only understand ‘watashiwa Azureen and Wahahaha

Konbanwa. Hajimemashite watashiwa AzureenDesu douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu. Wahahaha

She’s currently doing a 3 month Japanese courses for preparation to further her studies in Japan. In 3 years time I foresee a transformation from a Malaysian to some harajuku girl shown on Animax. To put an end to this lame post of mine, I had instant noodles for supper. (Doesn't really look that apetizing in the photograph)

Self Note 09

2008 has melted down and it’s the year of 2009. I still cannot imagine time flies swiftly and inevitably fast. I still remembered vividly that I was still a brat entering pre-school and with a blink of an eye, here I am now done with secondary school with more challengers ahead of me. All of a sudden, I felt so old… like an adult.

2008 has taught me many different things. Things that I never viewed of judged with different perspectives. There were joyous and unforgettable moments shared with loved ones that I shall cherish and remember forever. Nevertheless, an archetypal human being like me would also experience depressing and gloomy moments. Sometimes making mistakes are at most inevitable, nobody likes making mistakes but I am cognizant that I want to go through life as a complete recluse and thus I shall convince myself to learn from mistakes correctly to propel forward. Step by step this will mould and nourish me to help me grow.

Throughout the whole year of 2008, I faced many revolving problems in many ways which is seemed to grow and intensifies as I burry the deeply in my heart’s core, I was too feeble to reveal them. I rarely seek help from others; I always believe that if I do so it may give others an impression that I am an individual who is weak and fragile. Hence, my friends barely had any worries about me. Even if they do realise my sudden change in attitude, I would hide my sombre demeanour a pretend as if nothing had happened. I live my life as a hypocrite. But thanks to my beloved friends who supported me and guiding me all the way… I finally remove the mask and reveal my true self. I still had in mind a quote that a very important friend gave me that truly changed me a lot:

“Revealing your feeling is the beginning of healing. Hiding your hurt only intensifies it. Problems grow in the dark and become bigger and bigger, but when exposed to the light of truth, they shrink. You are only as sick as your secrets. So take off your masks, stop pretending you’re perfect and walk into freedom.”

Last year is also a vital year for a typical form 5 student like me. I sat for my Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) which is also a key that leads to any open door to my future. Honestly, if I can turn back the time I would take that opportunity to do so. Not in the sense that I screwed up in my final examination since the result is not out yet. But I will promise myself to strive even harder and endeavour whatsoever to improve; who knows it will alter my future. My parents have been ravenously patient and caring to bear with my tetchiness and petulance due to intense pressure…The saying ‘the family is a heaven in the heartless world’ couldn’t be more spot-on in this day and age. Thanks to God I managed to overcome hurdles and bumps in examinations and still being in one piece – GOD IS THE BEST.

For the New Year, I want to change! Though the word appeared as easy as it’s spelled, I am cognizant that a lot has to be done to achieve it. I know, with the support of my beloved family, friends and most importantly God… I believe ‘change’ will only be a mile apart. Even tough I still feel depress every time I thought of the fact that everyone will leave and have their own lives someday, I know that God will continue to answer my prayers so that I am not forgotten in the eyes of those whom I love and care.

Movie - The Spirit

I went outing with Timothy to watch 'The Spirit'. Overall the movie was not that bad, basically I think that it'll definitely be better than 'Bedtime Story'. The effects are rather awesome with a slight touch of humour though it's not much of a thriller. Next movie I'm targeting is 'Underworld 3'.

We headed to Spring and ended up strolling up and down engaged in a random conversation. It maybe boring bit I really had a great time since he had a day out to spend with me.

Christmas presents from Timothy. I got so cranky at myself for forgetting to bring his present today. Bummer!

Happenings & A Bling

I woke up approximately 9 today with an imaginary list of house chores reverberating in my mind. Mum and dad were in school for students’ registration, I had almost forgotten that 5th of January is going to be a typical schooling day!!! The entire world must be filled with all the non stop griping and spontaneous complains from juniors, I shall finally ease my stressed mind and fold my legs with a long sigh of relieve – I’m done with secondary school.

I have accomplished the impossible. I’ve clean the living room, swept the first floor and collected rubbish in my room. My energy meter is falling drastically; dad should seriously consider hiring a house maid or even borrow some maid from anyone to clean my entire house. Then again, doing house chores has obviously been a part of my archetypal monotonous life since I escape from the torment of SPM. A brilliant alternative way to extricate from boredom.

Jemuel and Timothy will be back today from vacation!!!! That’s the happiest thing for the day. Congratulations to my dear friend, Azureen to will be leaving tonight to Unisel under MARA scholarship, in two years time she’ll be in Japan pursuing in Electrical Engineering!!! I’m going to miss her lots!!!!! Geraldine will be leaving to Sunway College today.

I got myself a bling keychain with my initial - Hip Hop wannabe

I attended my cousins' (Annie and Titus) wedding dinner at Crown Square last night.
A nice gathering with all my beloved family members as we bid adeau to 2008
HAPPY NEW YEAR
