Vienna: St. Stephen’s Cathedral & Orchestra

St. Stephen’s Cathedral, standing proudly and being all gratified in the centre of Vienna, it looks really gorgeous from the outside with the fascinating detail work.

Took a picture here with the horse carriers, a really good one I must say but no idea why Eelin didn’t tell me that my shirt wasn’t tucked in at that time.

We stopped by at some desert shop, selling all sorts of cakes, chocolates, basically all the desert that one could possibly die for. Die cause’ it tasted too good, looked too good and also tagged with a super huge price tag.

I wasn’t really a fan old white chocolate but I decided to have a taste of them here, an after conversion costing more than RM20 slice of cake really tasted different from the rest.

We went for an orchestra late in the evening at some opera house. I’m not really an orchestra person, but overall I find it really entertaining so I recorded some footages which I will publish as soon as I’m back in Russia because Malaysian internet is just pathetic.

There was this incident in the toilet where I can’t button the sleeve button and some random elderly helped to to buttoned it up who happened to be one of the violinist or someone in the orchestra.

We took our final night stroll along the streets of Vienna, stumbled upon another bakery store with all these super adorable cupcakes, macaroons and other delicacies.

Vienna: Grinzing & Shops

Grinzing, popular destinations for daytrips in a wine tavern located on the outskirts of Vienna. Located in the valleys in the foothills, it was such a bummer that the wine tasting session and all were closed down when we got there.

Nevertheless, the view along the way was splendid. Nice little churches and shops selling mostly antique and vintage stuff.

We dropped by at some place with farm animals whereby kids just hang around here with tour guides teaching them about animals and crops. City kids just never get the chance to see real animals.

A random menu board; and some really nice old church located somewhere in the city centre. Looks pretty faded after my itchy hands over-edited it by reducing too much shadow; but at least it’s visible now.

We had lunch at some restaurant, Mike never ceased the opportunity to take his ‘act-cool’ picture of himself from time to time since he’s normally the photographer with the DSLR.

We had traditional Austrian Beef Goulash with bread and white wine. The interior of the shop was really nice and vintage with old posters and dimmed lightning.

Headed for some shopping, who news malls when you can get streets and streets of outlets for you to shop till your pocket bleeds till it dries up.

Vienna: Maria-Theresian Platz, Hofburg Palace & Jazz

We took a stroll after the palace and ended up somewhere around Maria-Theresian Platz. A square surrounded by lots of landmarks that I simply couldn’t recognize which is which.

They have great parks for homosexuals and non homosexuals to lie on, we decided not to lie on them thanks to Parasitology which most probably turned you into a paranoid thinking about all the possible ways any parasite are able to invade you.

Hofburg Palace, everything is just so architecturally detailed and their fine work is just simply amazing! By the way that’s a real human mozart painted in gold.

A really nice cathedral that I’ve forgotten the name. If I have a wide angle lens I’d probably be able to take an entire view of it, having a normal digital camera makes everything so limited and imperfect.

There was a Jazz Festival nearby this food court area, whereby all sorts of food were sold here. I had this Arabian bread with marinated chunks of meat and this huge class of berry cocktail since everyone was carrying them all over the place. They’re real raspberries and strawberries inside.

So we spent the evening, chilling with our booze enjoying jazz music. What’s more, they seemed to have this sort of event every single week! Different genres and performance for people from all walks of life. How great is it to live in a country where citizens appreciate their own culture so much.

Vienna: Schönbrunn Palace

One of the highlights in Vienna, Austria is none other than Schönbrunn Palace, one of the most important cultural monuments in the country.

View of entrance, with a huge fountain and lots of tourists scattered here and there snapping pictures. Out of 10 tourists there will be 8 Koreans.

There was a serene, green fielded park; that was my outfit of the day just because I felt that it suited my visit to a palace.

View of the Great Parterre on to the Gloriette and many other statues here and there.

Walking around the palace is straining especially under summer, so we had a tea break by a cafe’ next to a zoo where you can actually smell animal poo if unlucky. Cakes were made all beautifully made, like this tiled pattern one with a Mozart chocolate piece; with odd names as well like the one above which is called ‘Sachertorte’.

We tried out this maze and some labyrinth finger maze, it was pretty interesting bumping into people and dead ends. Basically just following the crowd of people and see where you’ll end up.

A nice bridge at the end of one maze wall; and a set of musical tiles that we met somewhere around another corner.

Ended up in this end with walls and walls of mirror so I took a super good looking candid picture of Mike with a random fat lady’s arm unintentionally. Meantime, Eelin & I camwhored. We even bumped into this dad of 3 children persuading us to try climbing these metal poles, it was so damn difficult but he climbed it with ease.

Fountain and view of the amazing Gloriette whereby you can take a picturesque view of the entire Vienna.
