After hours of traveling from Volgograd to Moscow and a delayed flight, my friends & I finally reached Vienna, Austria; my first spot of summer traveling. Arrived around in the evening so day 1 wasn’t so productive, we just took a stroll along the streets nearby a hostel we crashed in.
The city is peaceful and quiet especially as the night falls, shops close pretty much early, as early as 9 or 10PM; except for mild chattering & jabbering from cafes'.

We had dinner at this local Asian restaurant with a Chinese shop owner speaking mandarin which I assumed originate from Hong Kong or Taiwan since he had this familiar look which reminded me of some actor in TVB series. We tried some local beer since Vienna is famous for the beer.
Stayed in Wombat Hostel – The Base. Artistic European design, strategic location just that I find the bar really irritating with drunken hormone raged adolescents bathing in beer and alcohols; and I’m staying in a shared room with 2 additional room mates, one Korean & another Canadian.
Woke up morning with a great buffet breakfast, costs me around 3.70 Euros. View from my hostel window directly shows a splendid morning view of the city and train station.
Streets are filled with German cars, BMWs, Mercedes Benz & Audi, most of all Mini Coopers and Smart for Twos are everywhere along the streets. Public transport is superb, a million times better than metros and subways in Moscow, not much squeezing and pushing around and doors do not shut down abruptly snapping people’s humerus.
