Leaving

The time has finally arrived. In a long run, the brat is finally leaving his beloved hometown in hopes of achieving his dreams. Endless sacrifices has to be made but he knows that every cloud has a silver lining.

I truly thank God for what He has done for me, miracles and wonders do come true! I am grateful for such magnificent and great parents that I could never ever replace. They sacrificed their love, time and money by fulfilling my every need. Trust me… I couldn’t hope for any better. My parents are perfect ^__^

I have nothing to leave behind already. I’ve had my taste bite on every favourite food that binge on. I doodled enough caricatures just to remind me of every teensy-weensy people in life. I had most of my gatherings with beloved family members and friends… and this leads to an interminable tunnel.

I really hope to packed everything I owned and miraculously stuff them in my luggage! Everything I could even think of!

No doubt I will miss everyone & everything here.

I will promise to keep this blog alive :D May God bless everyone I love.

Love is a priceless gift
that cannot be bought or sold,
But it's value is far greater than a mountain made of gold.
For gold is cold and lifeless, it can neither see nor hear
And in the time of trouble it is powerless to cheer
It has no ears to listen nor heart to understand,
It cannot bring you comfort or reach out a helping hand
So when you ask God for a gift
Be thankful if He sends
Not diamonds, pearls, or riches
But the love of everyone.

Final Connections Made

Family & friends keep me connected, however I often ponder around as these tiny innocent thoughts of mine reverberates in this knotty mind that this brat owned.

It was a bummer that I couldn’t meet up with all my friends, I am cognizant that it’s merely possible to keep track with everyone. Had numerous family gatherings with cousins, it seemed that everyone is scattered around planet Earth!

I spent my Monday and Tuesday wisely, reserving them for those important friends God gave me. Went to Ling Ying’s place on Monday afternoon and had a really fruitful conversation with her, she always by other means inspires me to take a wider step ahead in whatever thing I ought to do! Night spent with my very best friend Yew Peng till after midnights. May our 14 years of friendship remain solid and strong forever!

Tuesdays, cousins came to visit just before I went out with besties Bernard and Nicole. Too bad Jemuel and Alicia weren’t around or else it would really complete this perfect circle of mine. Head to MBO to catch ‘Where Got Ghost’. Bumped into lots of friends at MBO as well.

Took some shots at MBO

We had an awesome dinner at Junk. Price was costing the earth but for such exorbitant price the food and atmosphere was simply divine! We had Pepperoni Pizza & Grilled chicken, I had Mocha Crush to wash all those heavenly bits down to digest. ^__^V

G-Force 3D

Finally went to MBO with Vainny last Sunday. But before that, I had a short prayer session with Father Ronnie just before I leave this Wednesday. Dad brought the family to Auntie’s Corner to have my all-time-favourite Teh Tarik! Next dad drop Vainny and I at tHe Spring to get a Golla pouch for her camera at the same time to catch a movie.

MBO was flooded and honestly I have no idea why can’t they open 2 counters instead of opening one counter which caused us to wait approximately 20 minutes just to get some tickets. Ended up watching G-Force in 3D. The movie was awesome, not only with the 3D effect but the storyline and motions were simply amazing!

I love guinea pigs now :D

Camwhored at MBO but eventually photos are still lodged in Vainny’s camera. Speaking of MBO, I declare from this day onwards, Me… Hansley Liew is not going to step into Star Cineplex ever again! In Kuching itself it is considered the best cinema so far.

Well at least I visited the new cinema before I leave right?

Consecration Of New Assistant Bishop & Dinner

Last Saturday, I attended the consecration of The Very Reverend Aeries as The Assistant Bishop of my church. Photographs were taken by Vainny’s new Lumix camera.

Liew’s & Yap’s Gathering

My grandparents planned a simple family gathering among the Liew’s and the Yap’s. Basically it was me and a few kiddy toddler cousins. Comprehend with the photographs as they were taken by 6 year old Cindy and 9 year old Kelvin. ^__^

Food of Brown & Green

Grandma made my favourite soup of all time, I don’t know the exact name for it but I call it ‘brown bean soup’. It’s extraordinarily delicious that I could finished the whole pot. As easy as dumping beans and ribs in a pot only but I could never make one as perfect as grandma’s.

Later that evening, I made myself green curry. Yummier than normal curry I assumed, not sure whether it was the after effect of consuming curry that was differing from the typical red curry or not. I wonder why they call it ‘green’ curry cause’ it certainly doesn’t look ‘green’ to me…

Oh! Did I mention that was my first time using basil leaf in curry just because I was living under a rock and never actually seen real basil leaf other than the cartoon version of it in Restaurant City.

Happenings Lately

I’ve been on hiatus for the past 6 days. Well believe it or not, there was too much happenings around me similar to a circus performer performing a pirouette that had occurred that I could not even recall majority of them.

I’ve been checking on my imaginary list on preparations needed before I depart from my beloved hometown. It seemed that the entire list just stretches long and long to an inexhaustible limit that my luggage are bloated up. It will inevitably make my life a whole load easier if I own Doremon in life. That way it could give me some luggage with a whatsoever awesome scientific name that enables me to magically dumped everything in.

Moving on…

Had some dinner with Jeffery and his family at Sharing Planet, and let me emphasize that the place was simply divine! I had Australian Honey Mustard Grilled Sirloin for RM26.90 and mango smoothies but what’s best it was on cousin Jeff’s. It was heavenly succulent and simply to die for.

I’ve been venturing on cookery lately. I made green curry, various pancakes with varying toppings, chocolate cake but eventually turned out less moist and of course sushi. Since I’ve always been lethargic I discovered a new way of fulfilling vitamin C by ramming fruits into the blender and tada! I’ve got myself a myriad of lip-smacking smoothies and shakes.

Last but not least…

Beloved cousin Irene had finally left to pursue her degree of Architecture in Cambridge University, UK last Tuesday. I truthfully wish her all the best in fulfilling her dreams to be an excellent architect one day, what’s more it wasn’t easy for her to enter Cambridge. ^__^b

Reminder: Final week in Kuching, really anticipating for what’s unfold for me in the future. I thank God for everything. What’s best… friends coming back from West Malaysia this weekend and Vainny being the E A R L I E S T to be back by tomorrow.

Call Me Conservative?

I stumbled across some photos uploaded by someone particular whom I prefer to remain as an anonymous that really caught my attention.

Day one she uploaded an entire album on Facebook with her kissing her boyfriend with shots taken via notebook webcam. The typical kiss on the cheek and lips kissing, no french kissing to my dismay as I was tempting to review her level of courage and 'openness'. Fancy her kissing her boyfriend while hovering the cursor to the 'snap' icon on her notebook screen.

Day two she somehow acquire some creativity and decided to take a springy step; the odd thing is that instead of fondling around in front of a flimsy webcam, miss anonymous improvised her position and uploaded an entire album of pictures of her kissing her boyfriend in front of a mountainous sized mirror while taking shots with her phone. Her creativity simply stupefied me.

You may call me 'conservative' or even arraign me for impertinent or domineering behavior. But compared to someone uncivilised like that?! I could sense a halo above my head ^__^

Side note: I have 13 days left in Kuching before departing.

Racism

Try listening to this song :)

Racism isn't a subject that most people blog about, as a matter of fact no mortal human are given the opportunity to even utter or voice it out. Regularly, action speaks louder than words. I shall zip my lips before I jabber anything that would only secure my seat in ISA.

Through my naked eyes, I believe intrinsically everyone is a racist to some degree, every individual differs from one another. It's a nature that we do feel more secure, confident, safe around our own 'species'. Further more, it is certainly typical for one to whine about what's painted different from our own colour.

I tremble with fear as I write this post, I'm just an ordinary 18 year old adolescent mingling with people from all walks of life. Every hue is a tutor; every colour is my teacher. We may not like a certain shade, but that doesn't mean that discrimination should come into place. We might be jealous that some colours have slight advantage more than us, but that doesn't mean that skirmish warfare or bloodshed massacre are the best solutions.

This is not any random post that I begin with zero inspiration, neither did it begun with me staring at the blank screens of my laptop blabbering balderdash for the sake of updating my blog. It is a post that  concerns every individual, race and the nation; momentously it is about my beloved country Malaysia!

I can comprehend with the lack of democracy, the deficiency of freedom, the ISA, the inefficient and bureaucratic civil service, discourteousness and even a wee corruption scattered here and there. But let's not let extreme racism corrode our unity.

I'm truly touched by the late Yasin Ahmad's productions: from those magnificent, spectacular movies to teeny weenie short television commercials. They all share a common point which is REALITY. If you could just a little extra attention to her productions, you will eventually realise that those are no other than  our mundane, typical Malaysian scenes. It shows "Unity" and "Harmony" - A true Malaysia.

1Malaysia

Forgive me Malaysia for my one day belatedness, Happy 52nd Independence Day to my country. Endless effort is crucially needed and despite the fact that we maybe a wee slower; crawling and gasping at the same time, I'm sure someday we will truly live as 1Malaysia.

I hope

15Malaysia

An awesome project :)
