We did some grocery/souvenir shopping at Budapest’s Great Market Hall, a 2-storey building selling from anything edible, wearable, decorate-able. I got myself half kilo of raspberries and an ‘I LOVE BUDAPEST’ yellow coloured tee.

That was for lunch, some sort of friend pastry with sour cream, ham and lots of cheese and another one was with Nutella chocolate and nuts.

Apart from that Budapest is renowned for it’s thermal baths, and one of the many famous baths is Gellert Bath. We had a really good afternoon here, pampering ourselves in thermal baths, swimming pools. Simply amazing for stress and fatigue relief.

After a long afternoon of relaxation, we took a walk all the way up Gellert Hill. The hill offers one of the best views on the city for travelers. Along the way, you will be amazed at home gorgeous and stunning nature has to offer.

On the top of the hill, you can find the Citadel, a fortress that was built to keep always an eye on the city. From the terraces of the building, there is a marvellous panorama to the city.

By a short walk one can reach the Liberation Monument. Looked totally strayed in my ‘I LOVE NY’ tee while taking this picture in Hungary.

A huge cross statue above the hill, thought behind my head tells me that it played an important role on how Christianity arrived here.
