Budapest: City Park

After a long train ride plus cab ride and hours of searching, we arrived in Budapest, Hungary. Stayed in a hostel called ‘Tiger Tims’; design and facilities deserve a 4/5 but overall due to lack of privacy and insecure rules and regulations… I’d give it my last stay here, and it’s located next to a sex shop so might be convenient for some of you.

Snapped a picture of the retro elevator, the ones with 2 doors and metal sliding gates to operate.

Had lunch, a variety of schnitzels of pork and chicken size of your arm, salads of different toppings and cream. Dining in Europe is always worth it because everything comes in XXL portions so a plate like this costing around 9 Euros can be shared among 2 people unless you decided to devour everything by yourself.

Budapest seemed to be a quiet city, nothing like Vienna or Prague or maybe it’s because it’s the weekend and everyone chose to laze and relax at home. Even malls close as early as 6pm in Europe. Took a stroll in Budapest City Park, hectares and hectares of greenery and nature.

The enchanting Vajdahunyad Castle with the City Lake at its foot.

Baroque facade, this part of the building houses the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture.

Anonymous, wanted to snap a picture with him but was a little freaked out.

There are lakes for people to train their dogs here during summer, sights that will never ever happen in Malaysia because pets are for stoning and house embellishing and also abusing.

Another huge lake for couples to row their boats romantically or to place their children on benches while rowing their boats. Several unique designs created by artists can be spotted on this lake.

Great view of Budapest.
