Persistent or obstinately in a course of action in spite of difficulty.
Now how hard can that be?
Last year I was lacking in cooking/baking/culinary skills, instant noodles, fried eggs… well the typical childish/kid’s play sort of food that almost everyone knows how to prepare. But within a year, I’m proud to say that I’ve developed deep interest towards working in the kitchen.
There we were working non stop, dicing, chopping, washing, frying, stewing, cooking, baking, delivering from 9PM yesterday till 11.30AM today. All of us worked over 12 hours just to ensure that our 1st year MCSC fund raising was a success.
Mike & I were in charged of ‘Creamy Pepper chicken’, sounds pretty easy right for those who judge every recipe from it’s title. From all the tasting, my tongue is now rejecting every single bit of cream sauce whatsoever. Traumatized from all the food.
Despite the endless hard labour in the kitchen, we got the chance to know more about friends around us, their skills, their attitude; it was all in all exciting. Teamwork – making sure that things are progressing in the correct path and calming one another when things gone haywire and some of us like myself got all panicking in hysteria.
We see who has the potential in becoming a leader, and realised how helpful seniors are in lending their hands and digging directly in helping us during the entire process. Especially Khor Leet Liang, Min Xin, Chai, Xun Jin & Jiann Woei.
Through this, I learned that… it’s not the taste that matters, it’s all the sacrifices, willingness, and teamwork that the entire team shared among one another. Not everyone can manage to pull this through but I’m glad that we did it. We learn from mistakes and definitely… the next fund raising activity will be tenfold better!
First time handling a huge project and kudos to all.
Been sleeping from 12PM till 3.30PM, 10 minutes to check up notifications on Facebook and I went straight to bed again till 8.30PM. Gobbled down 2 paracetamol due to the intense headache and fatigue and continued some rest.
Holidays are ending, it better be a new refresh start.
