Baking was never my forte, but under certain circumstances like rotting in boredom during summer holidays… I decided to ask some baking advices from mum. Here’s my apple pie that I baked specially for my imaginary girl friend.
It even has ‘I Love You’, smashed ‘roses’ and ‘earthworms’ on them. How romantic right?
Baking a pie wasn’t that difficult, except that part when you need to lift the pastry into the baking tray and straining your arms slicing and peeling 5 to 6 green apples. I got the hang of it after baking 2 apple pies.
One with apples and brown sugar, which I cooked the apples in order to make them soft after it came out from the oven; and another with apples with lime juice which I just layered fresh apples so have the crunchiness and top up everything with Smuckers sugar free strawberry jam.
Serves well especially with soy milk.
Now my house smells like any typical bakery store.
