Teachers Turn Childish

It was a typical Tuesday like any other Tuesday which I had walked through for the past 4 months in 2008. Since exams a coming up, thus I have to steal some petite time to blog about the day.

1.Madam Patricia, my English teacher asks the class an extreme humorous but yet peculiar question.

Mdm. Patricia: “class, I would like to ask you people, do you guys still watch cartoons or any recent interesting Japanese anime?”

Soon, people were staring at each other with big brown eyes, thought bubble appearing above their heads with enormous question marks and spirals revolving in the atmosphere. Most of us responded by giving a big “YES”.

Mdm. Patricia: “That’s great cause’ I think that cartoons especially comedy cartoons like Tom & Jerry and Spongebob really teaches us good moral values and ethical principles in our daily life. I personally love Spongebob Squarepants the most!!! I always watch it with my kids.

The ambience was once again filled with bewilder-ness plus some euphoric laughter from us. I jotted in my brain: Madam Patricia loves Spongebob Squarepants.

2. I went to the staffroom and seek help from Madam Lim regarding my Art folio and Mr. Kiu came along asking me another similar question like Madam Patricia.

Mr. Kiu: Hansley!! I know you have Alvin and the Chipmunks original soundtrack in your notebook, can you copy it for me now?

Later, I was standing there next to my dad’s seat, with Mr. Kiu’s pendrive dangling at the end of my finger. After copying the whole album of Alvin and the Chipmunks OST, Mr. Kiu plugged the songs into his notebook and played the songs with high amplitude. Madam Lucy came over to his table and asks for the songs from him as well as other teachers who think that the songs are very much cute and amusing. *SWEATS*

3. The similar phenomenon occurred during Physics as well when my Physics teacher, Mr.Gindui’s cell phone rang. The class burst into amusement when we all heard “Donald Duck Christmas Carol”. Child-like scene rewinds again…

Teachers in the school turn childish today with my English teacher becoming a huge fan of Spongebob Squarepants and Mr. Kiu as well as Madam Lucy who were both feeling affection for Alvin and the Chipmunks OST. Not forgetting Mr. Gindui's "Donald Duck Christmas Carol".
