Chinese New Year Eve: Reunion Dinner

It only takes less than 24 hours until Chinese New Year, like previous years all my uncles, aunties and cousins would gather together for reunion dinner at grandma’s place (well not all) according to my family’s tradition. Pity my cousins Jenny and Yan Han didn’t manage to attend the dinner due to their inevitable overseas work in US. Uncountable numbers of plates filled with delicacies prepared by all the female members in the family were served and soon my cousins Irene, Ivy and I were busy moving my hands chasing away all despicable flies. Alas, we didn’t manage to save a plate of butter prawns which was being secretly invaded by a fly (I assumed such arthropod owns a brain).

Picture taken by Dad during reunion dinner. A Hansley can be spotted sitting next to a brat in orange.

A myraid of food on the dinning table.

Ivy is like a gargantuan lollipop sitting next to me (girl in red stripes)

Amber sitting with her dad, Willy...Gosh is that the cutest and most adorable
