Winter Conference 2010

My immense apologies apologies for this belated post, too many pictures to edit, too many videos to upload, to much procrastination to be alleviated.

I attended the recent Winter Conference 2010 in Moscow from 4th to 7th, it was really a mind-blasting experience. I certainly didn’t regret missing 2 days of class to attend such an event. The conference was held in a 5 star hotel – Renaissance Hotel. Perfect location for perfect happening.

All together there were hundreds of Malaysian medical students studying all around Russia, Moscow, Volgograd, Nizhniy Novgorod & Kursk gathered as a family in this wonderful place of God.

Despite being lodged in a train for 18 hours from Volgograd to Moscow, the exhaustion an fatigue was all worth it when we were treated KFC upon our arrival.

We were divided into several groups, mixture of students from all over Russia. Ice breaking earned me tons of new friends, I even received a sachet of Milo from Alyssa, a 4th year senior studying in MMA :]

Well the thing that became the highlight was surprisingly Lily. Apparently, I owe my greatest gratitude to all my senior for helping me accomplish my mission. We all kept secret that I was able to attend this conference but at the same time, telling Lily that I couldn’t make it. Mission success when everyone saw her reaction the moment she saw me! Classic

We were entertained by SAVED, a pop dance team

We had City Harvest Church band who flew all the way from Malaysia!

Dalvinder, leader of Malaysian Fellowship, Moscow

Dr. Shan Ong a Consultant Pediatrician who flew from Sydney to give his talks to all medical students.

First Malaysian Idol, Jackyn Victor performed for all of us!

‘Gemilang’ – Now I believe why she won this title.

The ever awesome Rev. Kevin Loo, founder and Senior Pastor of City Harvest Church, KL. His church grew from 20 people to an average attendance of 1500 people today!

Our last day, we attended one of their services in their local church. You can really feel the presence of God in our ambience.

All of us

It was really a priceless experience knowing new people but most importantly… knowing more about my awesome God.
