Attending cell groups and church services once a week with various Christians from all walks of life enhances my relationship with my beloved God. What’s more, we are just typical churchgoing committed Christians sharing experiences with one another and learning the words of God. In short, I feel closer to God here.
My first church service, I learned about ‘Potential’. This was a brief on what Xun Jin, a 5th year medical course senior shared with us.
Definition of potential: Potential is having capacity to develop something into the future.
I’m sure most of you will never guess the precise location of the place that carries the highest potential is actually the graveyard. Jaws dropped but yeah… it is true. This is because at the graveyard lies an abundance of people that lived their lives but despairingly have not had the chance to release their full potential yet and eventually died. One will never know who they might turned into if they had released their full potential. Maybe the next millionaire? The upcoming renown cardiologist? Next astronaut? Or any next generation of people that hold great significance.
I always remind myself that our God can do everything, and He knows everything! He created us, instilled each and everyone with a plan ahead of us before we were even born. What’s important… He has implanted POTENTIAL in us and only if we release it… The sky is the limit ;)
The Bible says: “For I have plans for you, plans of good. I have a plan of hopes in each and everyone of you.”
In truth, the potential has been seeded within all and sundry. The question is…Are we going to release it? Only by releasing it, we have the chance of becoming someone that holds momentousness. Someone that can bring enormous not only to oneself, but also to people around him and even the nation! For God is amazing and He created plans that you can never imagine!
But, these things will forever remain as ‘might’ if we are not able or afraid to release the true potential within ourselves. We may only contribute to the perished closeted potentials buried in graveyards like any other fallen ones. Thus, accept God’s challenge and release the true potential in you!
Amazing things do happened!
I will share more topics in the future. What I learned from cell group gatherings and church services are lessons of life that assuredly turn my quintessential life fruitful.
My greatest joy today is not finishing my IELTS speaking test but knowing God's doing such a wonderful work in your life this season =)
