MY NAME WAS
CHRISTOPHER HANSLEY LIEW YOU SHENG
WITH A CHRISTOPHER
It has been years since I recalled my original name which is stated on my birth certificate, I had my Christian name Christopher in the first place. My parents even wanted to name me Wesley, but decided not to since it would positioned me at the end of the class in public exams. Besides I simply could not comprehend if I were name in such way since it reminds me of peasant-ness and poverty in unexplainable means. Since people around me usually call my middle name “Hansley”, my first name was eventually forgotten thus I decided to erase my front name from my IC number. Now I ended up with Hansley Liew You Sheng.
My former primary school mates used to call me according to my Chinese name. Until I got transferred to my current, then people began to recognise me as my English name. I have to adapt with the slightest situation on the way people call me.
During Additional Maths tuition, Shi Yin actually ask everyone whether they still remembered my English name since they were my primary school mates and studying in different secondary schools already. Zao Wu was unable to recollect my English name…only Xin Ni did despite her sceptical tone while pronouncing it.
Mr. Thian was giving us plentiful of exercises on Trigonometry which literally evoked the whole class to press their calculators vigorously in such grudge. It was such an irony for me to be the first person who completed all the exercises in less than an hour, or should I mention Trigonometry is indeed my favourable topic in Additional Maths. Beats Shi Yin and Ling Ying who were both rulers for this subject. My bizarre interest on paying notice to weird peculiar English terms begun again when I commented that the mathematical term “Asymptote” was cool (I even named my cat Ozymandias). A massive euphoric drama begun when Yan Mei claimed that I should changed my name from “Hansley” to “Asymptote”. Steams and grunginess evoked.
i didnt knw that?:?
